Eid Grooming Checklist for Pakistani Men — The 14-Day Prep
Eid photos last forever. Here's the 14-day grooming timeline — hair, beard, skin — so you look your best in every family photo.
By The Hair Factory Team
Eid brings family gatherings, photos, and the first salon-level attention on your appearance in months. Start the prep 14 days out and you'll coast into Eid without the usual last-minute scramble.
Day -14: Set the Foundation
Hair: Trim — not cut. Just a shape-up. A trim 2 weeks before Eid lets the edges settle naturally so your haircut doesn't look "fresh."
Beard: Decide on shape — fuller or sharper? If you're changing, start today. A new beard shape takes 5-10 days to look intentional.
Skin: Start drinking 3L of water daily. The glow comes from hydration, not expensive face wash.
Day -10: Hair Colour Test Application
If you're planning to cover greys for Eid, now is the moment for the first application. Two reasons:
- Test coverage — if any spots need touch-ups, you still have time
- Settles naturally — by Eid, the colour looks lived-in, not freshly done
Use the 5-in-1 Hair Color Shampoo. 15 minutes. You're done.
Day -7: Deep Conditioning Mask
Pakistani hair gets abused by sun and hard water. A deep conditioning mask now means your hair takes styling better on Eid.
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 egg yolk
- Massage into dry scalp, leave 30 minutes under a shower cap, rinse
Do this once. It's enough.
Day -5: Touch-up Colour
Second hair color application if needed. Targets missed spots from Day -10. Grey coverage should now be 100%.
Day -3: Beard Detail
Shape-up + colour in one session:
- Shower and soften beard with warm water
- Apply the 5-in-1 Hair Color Shampoo to beard (with Vaseline boundary — see our beard guide)
- Wait 12 minutes, rinse
- Trim and shape with clippers + scissors
- Oil the beard with a light carrier oil (argan or coconut)
Day -2: Nail & Skin Basics
- Cut nails
- Clean cuticles
- Exfoliate face with a gentle scrub
- Deep moisturiser that evening
Day -1 (Chaand Raat): Light Touch
Don't do anything major today. No hair colour. No drastic trim. No bleach. New grooming shows.
Do:
- Take a long, warm shower
- Quick beard tidy with clippers (no major reshape)
- Mani-pedi if getting one
- Pressing your Eid clothes
- Early sleep — you'll be up before Fajr anyway
Eid Morning
- Shower with your regular shampoo (not the colour one — let Eid hair stay fresh)
- Pat dry
- A tiny amount of hair cream or gel — less is more
- Beard oil — 2-3 drops, massaged in
- A matte moisturiser (not glossy — your skin will be photographed)
The 15-Year-Photo Test
Every Eid photo ends up framed, forwarded, or printed. Ask yourself: *will I be happy seeing this photo in 15 years?*
That's the real prep standard. Natural, well-groomed, healthy — not over-styled. Grey coverage covered, beard tight, skin hydrated.
Minimum Version
If you're doing this last minute (7 days out):
- Day -7: Hair colour + beard colour same day
- Day -3: Shape-up trim
- Day -1: Light beard tidy
- Eid morning: moisturise, beard oil, done
You can still look excellent. Starting earlier just gives you buffer if anything doesn't come out right.
Questions Our Customers Ask
Will applying hair colour break my Eid fast?
Hair colour shampoo is external cosmetic use — it doesn't break the fast. Most scholars agree. Apply in the evening to be safe.
What if I only have 3 days?
Colour hair and beard tonight. Trim tomorrow. Eid morning just moisturise and go. You can absolutely still look great.
How do I keep the look for Eid Day 2 and 3?
Light maintenance only — don't re-colour. A quick shower, fresh beard oil, clean clothes. The colour you applied 3-5 days before Eid lasts the full Eid week easily.
